One of EndSARS protesters was on Saturday killed and another one injured by police in Ogbomoso.

The protesters who were majorly students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso and some indigenes were said to have stormed the area command office of Nigeria Police Force Owode Ogbomoso to register their grieviances.

It was gathered that the rally took off around Ladoke Akintola university school area in Ogbomoso from where they moved to some notable locations in the state including the Soun of Ogbomoso’s palace.

At Owode Police station, the protesters were said to have stormed the entrance with the intention of going in to register their presence but the attempt which was considered as provocative was repel by some of the officers who teargas the raging protesters and eventually killed one and shot another one at the leg.

Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP. Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu in a statement  stated that the protest is taking a new dimension as protesters are mapping out new strategies to carry out coordinated attacks on innocent citizens, Police stations and personnel.

The CP in a statement signed by the Command’s PRO, Gbenga Fadeyi enjoins, parents/guardians, traditional rulers, community/religious leaders/leaders of thought etc. to wade in and appeal to their children/wards to desist from such act(s) that can be inimical to our cooperate interest.

He stated further that, the Command is battle ready to curtail their excesses and will not fold its arms and allow disgruntled elements/social miscreants to capitalize on the situation and unleash mayhem on innocent citizens and also loot peoples’ properties as there are proper ways to channel their grievances.
