    Nigeria Records Scaring Figure Of 1,145 New COVID-19 Cases

    Nigeria recorded a highest figure of 1,145 new infection of Coronavirus confirmed cases in one day.

    A figure showed by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, revealed the total numbers of confirmed cases on Thursday, bringing the total figure to 76,207.

    In its updated figures, on 17th December, 2020 at 11:45 p.m, the centre stated that there are 76,207 COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country.

    So far the country has recorded 1,201 deaths and 67,110 discharged.

    Break down of the 1,145 new cases showed that 459 new cases were discovered in Lagos, 145 in FCT, 52 in Gombe, 23 in Kano, 18 in Bauchi, 17 in Rivers, 12 in Ogun, 8 in Edo, 7 in Ebonyi,  3 in Jigawa, 1 in Anambra.

    Others are 138 in Kaduna, 80 in Plateau, 70 in Katsina, 31 in Niger, 21 in Bayelsa, 18, in Ondo, 12 in Oyo, 8 in Nasarawa, 6 in Osun, 5 in Ekiti, 5 in Kebbi, 4 in Borno and 2 in Akwa Ibom states, the NCDC has said of new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
