Again another call has gone to Nigeria Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba to revisit a complaint by one Iwanefun Oluyemi James who claimed that some policemen extorted him at gun point.

This was narrated by one Tolu Babaleye on his Facebook page, although he said the incident happened somewhere along Ondo road last year, he is still of the opinion that the culprit can be brought to book.

Titled ‘Attention Inspector General of Police’, the alleged victim said he was accosted by the Police who ordered him out of the vehicle and wanted to know personal information about it.

Scared by the gun pointed at him and a threat to cripple him he opened his bank details with just N11,000 balance, out of which he was forced to part with N10,000.

But in the process of transferring, he was able to take the photographs of the said policemen.

Apart from the N10,000, he claimed that they also forcefully collected the N50,000 cash he had on him.

Below is the details of his narration and the culprits photographs including, the copies of bank’s transactions.

    ATTENTION INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE!

Kindly read the story below and investigate these Policemen that extorted a harmless and defenceless Nigerian.

This incident happened between Akure and Ore in Ondo State on Wednesday 30th September, 2020 at a village called Elemoso after Bolorunduro, before Ondo Township.

I here with attach photographs of these Armed Robbers masquerading as Policemen and evidence of transfer of money by Iwanefun Oluyemi James to one DAMILOLA IYABO ABOLADE with account number 0713563227 domiciled with ACCESS BANK on the instruction of these Policemen whose photographs appeared hereunder at gun point.

Kindly fish these unscrupulous men out of your force and put your name in gold as a no nonsense IG that Nigerians know you to be.

This happened in September last year but time does not run against the State! Mr. Iwanefun has lodged his complaint at that time but no investigation was done about it.

The era of unknown soldier is gone in this era of technology. I wish to call on Nigerians who may know the identify of these Policemen to get in touch with me through direct message (DM) inbox.

    Let us jointly sanitise Nigeria!

    Read the following story please.

On Wednesday 30th September, 2020, the Police stopped our bus going to Ore from Akure Ondo State at a village called Elemoso after Bolorunduro before Ondo Township. They start searching the vehicle and they found nothing, one just called me to drop off the bus, that I dressed like a Yahoo guy and why am I using two phones.

They demanded for my phone, at first I said no, that is it a crime for someone to dress to his/her comfort again in this country..?
But the one in blue jeans threatened to condemned my knee with gun. So I complied, I gave them my two phones and they started scrutinising my phones, for over 30mins and yet they found nothing… That was when one other officer came to intervened and said, they should arrest me, that I might have deleted or hidded some information…and I was like, officer, you should help your colleagues to bring out any documents he claimed I hide.

That was where they started mishandling me, slapped me and threatened to waste me and nothing will happen, so the one in chinos said, I should pay 100k or else they will take me to their station and probably rope me to be a criminal or even decides to waste me along the road and dropped off my dead body… That was where I got scared…
So I told them I don’t have any money on me than the money I’m traveling with to buy something from the river-rine area of the State, which is 50k, they refused it at first, then they asked me to open my bank details for them to see… I have 11k left there.

After collecting 50k cash from me, they forced me to do another 10k transfer, that was where I could be able to get all these evidence. It was the one in blue jeans in the accompanied photographs that gave me an account number into which I transferred 10k. During the transaction, I told them the network is not good, so I walked away from them a bit, so I could take their pictures.

    Mr IG sir,
Kindly look at the pictures and identify them, these elements are not fit and proper persons to be in the Nigerian Police.
