Two stores housing electoral materials at the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have been burnt down in a series of arson attacks in Anambra, Enugu and Imo States.
Further information has it that among the debris is fifty percent of its non-sensitive materials.
This was disclosed by INEC’s National Commissioner, Festus Okoye on Monday.
Festus Okoye said the attack on its Anambra office is the most devastating onslaught on its facilities so far.
This development is the latest in a series of attacks on INEC offices in Nigeria’s South-East region, which occurred on Sunday night,
Formal complaints have been made with regards to all three incidents for the police investigation.
