A Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon. Mrs. Abimbola Tijani Oladokun of the All Progressive Congress party in the recently held party’s primary election for Orile-Agege LCDA in Lagos State, has decried the conduct of the outgoing chairman during the election.

The only female aspirant claimed that last Saturday’s election was marred by irregularities and devoid of a free and fair election.

In her petition to the party’s leadership dated 31st May, 2021, which a copy was made available to CASEFILE, she stated that that the exercise was not rancor free in Orile Agege LCDA.

She alleged that the outgoing chairman was the one carrying ballot boxes all around the venues of the exercise among other complaints.

Below is her petition 31st May, 2021.

    The State Party Chairman,

    All Progressive Congress, Lagos State

    Dear Sir

    LETTER OF COMPLAINTS

I humbly write to complain formally about our party primary election at Orile Agege LCDA. While congratulating the State leadership of our party for a concluded primary election. I hereby complain that the exercise was not rancor free at all in Orile Agege LCDA.

    1. My agents were sent away from the venue on seeing them with my identity especially at ward “E”, “C”, “B” and “D”.

    2. The outgoing chairman was so barbaric as the man carrying ballot boxes all around the venue of the exercise without hindrance having been surrounded by thugs hired by him.

    3. In ward “F” the story was being different until when the chairman came in and disrupted the ongoing process. “No election”. My supporters at these wards E,C,B and F could have fought back but for the love of our dear party Not an act of cowardice. Should there be need to bring forth the witnesses to these shameful acts by the outgoing chairman I will not hesitate to call them.

Sir, I hereby seek, required and readdress as I  am very sure that this is not the way our democracy works and our national leaders would not be happy that some opportunist are hell bent on destroying the democratic principles he is bestowing on us.

This outgoing chairman has been in power from days of our national leaders in the state house; he was a 3 times Vice Chairman and a term Chairman; making four terms in office, must he spend a century in office?

Sir, I look forward to a fatherly management of this crisis at Orile Agege LCDA.

    Thanks and God bless Sir.

    Yours faithfully,

Hon. Mrs. Abimbola Tijani Oladokun 08093863484
