On Children’s Day, Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu invited 10-year-old, medically challenged Chess champion, Ferdinand Maumo who hails from Makoko to a game at the Lagos House Marina.
Ferdinand, who has never been to school before or had any formal education had a game of Chess with Mr. Governor on Sunday at the Lagos House, Marina, a very tough game indeed which eventually ended in a stalemate after about 35 minutes.
Governor Sanwo-Olu says he is inspired by Ferdinand and says he has risen beyond his challenge and he has a bright future ahead of him.
