    How A-35-Year-Old Father Was Arrested For Defiling His 2-Year-Old Daughter

    Barely few days that Nigerians joined the rest of the world to celebrate Father’s Day, here in Lagos, 35-year-old Kingsley Achugbu has been arrested for allegedly defiling his two years old daughter.

    Kingsley Achugbu, 35 who lives in Festac is not only accused of sleeping with his two years old child but his maid claimed she was sexually harassed by her boss’ husband.

    Following a report by the househelp who was in the company of Mrs. Justina Nelson of Children and Vulnerable Persons Network to the Festac Town Divisional Police Officer, CSP. Femi Iwasokun, the police immediately arrested the alledged perpetrator.

    Subsequently, the two year old survivor has been taken to the hospital for medical examination and expert report for further investigation, Police Spokesperson CSP. Olumuyiwa Adejobi said.

    The Lagos State Police Commissioner, CP. Hakeem Odumosu reiterated his commitment to fight sexual offences and domestic-based violence headlong in the State.

    Reacting the police boss insisted on zero tolerance for such sexual offences like rape, defilement, sexual harassment and assault, domestic-based violence, amongst other societal vices.

    CP. Odumosu promised to work hand in hand with relevant Government agencies and Non-Government Organisations to fight the societal menaces to a halt in Lagos State and by extension, in Nigeria.

    He has however ordered that the matter be transferred to the Gender Unit of the Command for further investigation and possible prosecution. 

    He also appealed to the general public to always report all cases of sexual harassment and assault and domestic-based violence to the police or any available relevant Government agencies and Non-Government Organisations for necessary action in order to get rid of the societal menace in the state.
