True to their threat, some Muslim youths in Sokoto State on Saturday embarked on massive protest demanding the release of two suspects arrested in connection with the killing of Deborah Yakubu.
They had earlier sent a letter inviting people for the riots.
But Police claimed they were on top of the situation, however, that was not to be as the mob sucesssfully carried out the threat destroying many property including a Catholic Church.
They were however met with Police resistance when they attempted to gain entrance into the palace of Sultan of Sokoto.
