Alowonle Drags Danku To Court Over Leadership Of Ogun Motorcycle Owners And Riders Association

The leadership crisis rocking the Incorporated Trustees Of Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Ogun State, AMORAN, has taken a legal dimension as Chief Otunba Nurudeen Aina alias Alowonle is laying claim as Chairman.

He said he was duly elected, served first term and got the overwhelming votes to serve for the second term.

In the suit filed before the National Industrial Court holding in Ibadan, the Applicant alleged that his Personal Assistant, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, alias Danku double crossed him and made himself a substantive Chairman.

He traced the genesis of the crisis to his leave of absence which he claimed was duly applied for between August 5, 2024 and December 4, 2024.

In the suit, the Applicant wants a declaration from the court holding that Taofeek Sokoya is not the proper person to be sworn in as Acting Chairman in his absence since he was just appointed as his personal assistant.

He maintained that he was on a leave of absence to contest the chairmanship position at Shagamu Local Government Area.

According to his claims, he want the industrial court to nullify the swearing-in of Sokoya as the Chairman of AMORAN since according to him, there was no vacancy in accordance with the provisions of Section 16(a)&(b) of the association.

He wants the Respondent to revert to the position of Vice Chairman in accordance with the law.

Particularly, he wants a declaration that the purported swearing-in of the 5th Respondent of AMORAN amounts to an imposition and should be set aside.

He wants a declaratory order restraining him from further parading himself as the Chairman of the Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association, Ogun State.

Below are his full claims before the court
