Quick intervention of officers of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service prevented more damage to the buildings along Ahmadu Bello Way, as fire gutted a club house in Lagos, ‘BOLLR’ along the route.

The incident reported around afternoon caused panic among the residents and passers-by.
It was gathered that the incident responsible for the club house in Lagos was a result of a spark from one of the cylinders used for the ongoing repair works.
Eyewitness narrated that while one of his colleagues was working, a spark was reported but all self-efforts to contain it proved abortive.
Police officers stationed at fire location
Security was provided by Police officers from Bar Beach Station who mounted barricade giving access to only those required to work on the fire.
Three fighting trucks were sighted at the scene while staff gathered in groups discussing the incident.
One of the officers was overheard speaking to his boss on the phone explaining that the fire was confined.
