The 38th Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP. Bode Ojajuni, has declared a firm stance on discipline, professionalism, and accountability, vowing zero tolerance for misconduct within the Command.

Speaking during his maiden press briefing held at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Monday, CP. Ojajuni emphasised that the Ogun Police under his leadership would strictly align with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu.
According to him, “the citizens are our bosses,” stressing that this principle would guide all policing activities across the state.
He reiterated that abuse of office, human rights violations, corruption, and incivility would not be tolerated, noting that discipline remains the bedrock of the Nigeria Police Force.
CRU is accessible
The Commissioner highlighted key mechanisms put in place to ensure transparency and accountability, including the Complaint Response Unit, CRU, which he described as a vital channel for reporting police misconduct.
He noted that the CRU is accessible via telephone and social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
CP Ojajuni further disclosed that the Gateway Shield App and the Command’s Control Room would operate around-the-clock to receive complaints and intelligence from the public in real time.
To strengthen internal discipline, he said the X-Squad and Police Monitoring Unit would be fully deployed, warning that “there will be no safe haven for misconduct.”
He added that the few bad eggs in the Force would not be allowed to tarnish its image, urging residents to report any wrongdoing promptly.
Ogun Police seek public partnership for security
Reaffirming his commitment to securing lives and property, CP Ojajuni assured residents that the Ogun Police would adopt proactive strategies to guarantee safety across the state.
He called for mutual respect between officers and the public, stating that effective policing requires cooperation and trust.
“My administration will be inclusive. We will work closely with traditional rulers, community leaders, the media, and other security agencies,” he said.
The Commissioner also pledged to prioritise the welfare of officers, urging them to embrace discipline, unity, and renewed dedication to duty.
CP Ojajuni concluded by assuring the people of Ogun State of “unrelenting service” in sustaining peace and ensuring a secure environment.
