    Man, 25, Stabs Two To Death In Ogun

    A-25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, has allegedly stabbed two persons to death in Ogun state.

    The victims of the attack, Gbadamasi Ibrahim, 25, and Chinedu, 40, died following the incident that occurred in Olámbe area of the state.

    The suspect was reported to have allegedly attacked five persons, who were trying to pacify him.

    According the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the victims died while being rushed to the hospital after sustaining severe injuries.

    A medical doctor later confirmed both men dead.

    The police said the suspect allegedly carried out the attack in the early hours of Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at about 1:38 a.m., stabbing five individuals with a knife following a dispute linked to failed business deal.

    Three victims battling for life

    Three other victims were critically injured in the attack.

    Police authorities confirmed that they are currently receiving treatment and are responding.

    Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims had attempted to calm down the suspect before he suddenly turned violent and attacked them.

    Suspect arrested after fleeing scene

    Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled the scene but was later tracked and arrested by detectives from the Ajuwon Division. He is currently in police custody.

    The Command disclosed that both the suspect and the case file have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for further investigation and prosecution.

    Police condemn attack, assure justice

    Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the attack, describing it as senseless and avoidable.

    He assured the public that justice would be pursued to its logical conclusion.

    Ojajuni also urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious or violent behaviour to security agencies.
