A-27-year-old man defendant, Oladimeji Hammed, popularly known as “Immunizer,” has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos, following his arraignment before a Lagos State Magistrate Court in Ogba over allegations bordering on cyberbullying and defamation against Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, widow of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad.

Hammed was arraigned on a six-count charge filed by the Commissioner of Police, alleging that he used social media platforms to publish harmful, insulting, and provocative content targeting the 26-year-old widow.
The defendant however pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Although he was granted bail, the court ordered that he remains in custody until he is able to meet the stringent bail conditions imposed.
The presiding Magistrate ruled that the defendant must produce two sureties, each of whom must show evidence of a bank account balance of at least N700,000.
One of the sureties is required to be a serving civil servant at the state level, while the second must be a blood relative.
Both sureties are also mandated to present proof of up-to-date tax compliance.
According to the prosecution, the alleged offences began on February 8, 2026, when Hammed reportedly published a post claiming that Omowunmi, was planning to leave Nigeria before justice was served in her husband’s death.
The post allegedly included her passport photograph..
In another instance on February 19, he allegedly circulated claims relating to a purported leak of the complainant’s private images, while on March 14, he was said to have made further derogatory remarks about her character on social media.
The prosecution told the court that the cumulative effect of the publications exposed Aloba to public ridicule, hostility, and harassment, which reportedly culminated in an attack on her by members of the public on March 15, 2026.
The case has been adjourned to a later date for further hearing.
The case highlights the continued online harassment faced by Omowunmi since the death of her husband on September 12, 2023.
Despite not being charged in connection with MohBad’s death, she has remained the subject of intense public scrutiny, speculation, and cyberbullying on social media.
MohBad’s death sparked nationwide outrage and calls for justice. Investigations by the authorities led to the filing of criminal charges against auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and MohBad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, popularly known as Spending.
The duo are currently facing trial over allegations of reckless and negligent acts linked to the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
Prosecutors alleged that Ogedengbe administered an injection to the singer without proper medical authorisation, leading to complications shortly before his death.
Spending is also facing charges arising from his alleged role in the events that preceded the incident.
The criminal proceedings against both defendants are still ongoing before the court.
