Nestlé Nigeria has appointed Toritseju Egbebi as its corporate communications and sustainability manager, effective November 1, 2026, following the retirement of Victoria Uwadoka, who led the company’s communications and sustainability agenda for 10 years.

The appointment marks a leadership transition at Nestlé Nigeria as the food and beverage company seeks to sustain its corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement and sustainability initiatives under a new communications leader.
Egbebi, who moves into the position from corporate affairs, brings 18 years of experience spanning public relations and corporate communications in the technology, financial services and consumer goods sectors.
Egbebi played a central role in strengthening the company’s corporate reputation, public affairs and stakeholder relationships since joining the organisation.
Nestlé Nigeria taps Egbebi’s 18 years of experience
Egbebi’s appointment comes against the backdrop of increasing attention to corporate responsibility, public trust and environmental sustainability, areas in which effective communication and stakeholder engagement are essential.
Through the company’s Nestlé for Good initiatives, she helped raise the visibility of its investments in healthier nutrition, community programmes and environmental projects.
She also contributed to strengthening strategic relationships with the media and other stakeholders, helping to improve the company’s public profile.
With her experience across multiple industries, Egbebi is expected to build on these efforts as she assumes responsibility for the company’s corporate communications and sustainability portfolio.
Her appointment provides an opportunity for Nestlé Nigeria to maintain continuity in its communications strategy while advancing its engagement with stakeholders, including regulators, media organisations and host communities.
Uwadoka leaves a decade-long legacy
While Egbebi prepares to take up the new responsibility, Uwadoka exits after 10 years of shaping Nestlé Nigeria’s communications and sustainability agenda.
During her tenure, she advanced the company’s reputation and its Creating Shared Value approach, which emphasises generating value for the business while contributing to society.
Her work covered several areas, including nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship and community development.
Beyond corporate communications, Uwadoka was also recognised within the communications industry for supporting professional development and mentoring practitioners.
Her departure marks the end of a decade of leadership during which sustainability and community engagement remained important components of the company’s public-facing activities.
Nestlé Nigeria CEO welcomes leadership transition
The company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Wassim Elhusseini, commended Uwadoka for her contributions and expressed confidence in Egbebi’s ability to lead the communications and sustainability function.
“Victoria has made an important contribution to Nestlé Nigeria over the past decade, and we are deeply grateful for the leadership, professionalism and commitment she has brought to our business and the communications profession,” Elhusseini said.
He also expressed confidence in Egbebi’s experience and capacity to take on the new responsibility.
“As Toju takes on this responsibility, I have every confidence in the experience, judgement and energy she brings to the role. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are fundamental to building trust and advancing our purpose,” he added.
The leadership transition comes as companies face growing expectations to communicate their business activities transparently, demonstrate environmental responsibility and maintain constructive relationships with the communities in which they operate.
For Nestlé Nigeria, the challenge will be to preserve the progress made under Uwadoka while building on existing communications and sustainability initiatives.
Egbebi’s experience in corporate affairs and stakeholder engagement is expected to support that continuity as she assumes office on November 1, 2026.
