The Second Republic Senator who was born on the 25th September, 1925 in Iye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, was until his death a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC. A Lagos division of Court of Appeal, on Monday affirmed the decision of a Lagos High Court, that convicted and sentenced a former supervisor with Chrisland Schools, Mr. Adegboyega Adenekan, to 60 years imprisonment for defiling a two and half years pupil of the school. Justice Mohammed Garba and other members of the panel unanimously affirmed the judgement of the lower court and held that Adenekan’s appeal lacked merit and dismissed his case. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appealed to residents of the State to exercise patience and bear the discomfort that will be experienced from the six-month partial closure of the Third Mainland Bridge, which starts Friday. A Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected a suit by the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the powers of the Ogun State chapter of the party to conduct party congresses in the state.
