Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced scholarship up to the university level for the children of the slain Police officers lynched in the wake of the violence instigated by the nationwide youth demonstration against police brutality in the state. The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday paraded 520 suspects in connection with acts of various offences ranging from arson, robbery, murder, rioting, malicious damage, and unlawful possession of fire arms. The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while briefing journalists on the arrest of suspects said the arrests were made following the ENDSARS protest hijacked by hoodlums. The Lagos State Government has reviewed the curfew declared over the #EndSARS Protests. A statement signed on behalf of the Government by Mr. Gbenga Omotosho the Commissioner for Information said the curfew has been reviewed and is now between 6:00am and 8:00pm from the initial 8:00am to 6:00pm. Residents of Lagos can now move around between 6:00a.m and 8:00p.m from Saturday, October 24, 2020. This is according to a new directive from the Governor of the State Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
