NBA-SBL Unveils Plans For 16th Annual Conference

The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law, NBA-SBL, has unveiled plans for its 16th Annual Business Law Conference themed: “Recent Developments in the Business Law Environment.”

The Programs and Content Sub-Committee disclosed that the 16th Annual International Business Law Conference with remarkable line-up of knowledgeable speakers and panelists who will discuss critical issues around recent developments in the Nigerian business environment vis-a-vis how they have shaped or affected business operations.

According to the committee, the conference will amongst other things, spotlight vital topics such as CAMA 2020: The Journey So Far, The New Face of Competition – Merger Control in the Nigerian Context, ESG and the Nigerian Business Environment, In-house & External Counsel relationship – New Trends and Expectations, Tackling the Challenges of Ponzi Schemes: Insolvency as a Resolution Tool, AfCTFA – The Prospects for the Nigerian Business Lawyer, Tax Administration Strides and the Nigerian Business Environment, The Regulation of Over-The-Top Services: Necessity or Overreaching?, The Nigerian Startup Bill – Economic enabler?, The Petroleum Industry Act – Making it Work, The Business of Law – New Frontiers, and Succession, Tare Yeri Prize and SBL Awards amongst other vital discourse.

From Wednesday, 20th to Friday, 22nd July, 2022, the NBA-SBL is assembling a distinguished faculty of knowledgeable speakers and resource persons from within and outside Nigeria at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja to dissect issues affecting the business environment and chart the way forward.
