The Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 2, AIG Moshood Jimoh, on Tuesday met with the Air Officer Commanding, AOC, Logistics Command, Abdul Suleh, in Ikeja as part of efforts to deepen inter-agency collaboration in tackling security challenges.

AIG Moshood Jimoh, who led members of his management team to the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base, headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force Logistics Command, stressed the need for sustained cooperation between the police and other security agencies to enhance operational efficiency and public safety.

The AIG noted that the police and the Nigerian Air Force had maintained a cordial working relationship, which significantly contributed to crime prevention and control during his tenure as Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.
He added that joint efforts in intelligence sharing, surveillance, and coordinated patrols played a key role in reducing crime rates across the state.
He explained that the visit was also aimed at strengthening ties and securing continued support from the Air Force, particularly as his current role covers supervisory responsibilities over Lagos and Ogun states.
Jimoh further highlighted how both institutions had consistently resolved potential areas of conflict among personnel promptly and amicably, preventing escalation and fostering mutual respect.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu-led administration to improving institutional synergy and enhancing investigative outcomes nationwide.
In his response, Suleh described the visit as significant and commended Jimoh for his professionalism and dedication to service.
He recalled his first encounter with the AIG Moshood Jimoh during Jimoh’s tenure as Lagos CP, noting his respectful and exemplary leadership style.

“He’s an officer who respects those who respect themselves. A true leader. When he was appointed AIG, I said I was going to visit him and today, he is here. I will still pay you that visit AIG,” Suleh said.
The AOC added that Jimoh exemplifies a thoroughbred officer committed to excellence, assuring him of the Nigerian Air Force’s continued support.
He also described the relationship between the police and the military under Jimoh’s leadership in Lagos as unrivalled, noting that potential conflicts were always resolved discreetly and amicably.
