The number of Coronavirus cases climbed to 151 in Nigeria on Wednesday according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NDCD. In its updated figures, as at the time of filing this report, the agency stated that there are 151 COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria. So far the country has recorded two deaths and nine recoveries. There are now 82 cases in Lagos; 28 cases in FCT Abuja and 14 in Osun States. The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari is in Lagos for further treatment of his Coronavirus ailment, but his whereabout is unknown even to the state govermnment. The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba has suspended all court activities in the five judicial divisions of the state judiciary. Justice Alogba gave this order following the lockdown announced by President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State to combat the Coronavirus pandemic in the state. Lagos State Government on Monday discharged five Coronavirus patients at Infectious Disease Centre, Yaba Mainland Hospital. This brings to eight the total number of discharged patients from the Centre. The patients who had been quarantined at the isolation centre for weeks looked stable and unruffled, although the discharged patients preferred anonymity, they expressed joy and satisfaction over the treatments they received. The Federal Government on Monday confirmed the second death from Coronavirus, COVID-19, in the country. The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, announced this Monday during the Presidential Task Force briefing on COVID-19 in Abuja.
