A group of experts in collaboration with the Imo State government have donated medical equipments to Federal Medical Centre, Owerri to reduce the rate of child maternal mortality. This is coming following reports by the World Health Organisation that puts Nigeria as one of the African countries to record a high amount of maternal death during child birth. The board chairman and Chief Medical Director of the centre in their separate remarks expressed gratitude to the team for their contribution towards the well-being of the centre and humanity.
