The Lagos State Government has ordered the indefinite closure of Dowen College, Lekki, over the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, a 12-year-old JSS 2 student of the school. The boy was reported to have been beaten to death in the school for refusing to join a cult. The closure is pending the outcome of an investigation into the death of the student.
