A 50-year-old woman and fashion designer, Mrs. Ifeoma Henrietta Ezewuike, has been arrested for attempting to traffic 1.3 kilograms of cocaine while disguised as a pregnant woman.

The suspect was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA on Friday August 22, 2025, at Jibowu bus terminal while attempting to deliver the cocaine consignment to clients in Abuja.
The widow, a single parent and proprietor of Golden Star Creation, a fashion outlet in Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, allegedly claimed to have inherited the illegal trade from her late husband, who passed away two years ago and that she had operated her fashion business for two decades.
NDLEA officers, acting on credible intelligence, conducted a follow-up operation at her residence in Ago Palace area, where they recovered 200 grams of cutting agent used for producing a cocaine strain.
Her arrest resulted from NDLEA’s intensified war on drugs, with the agency disrupting multiple drug trafficking networks across Nigeria in recent days according to Femi Babafemi, Director, Media &Advocacy, NDLEA Headquarters, Abuja.
