The Lagos State Police Command has restored peace to Owode Onirin following a deadly clash between traders and land grabbers that claimed three lives and left a police inspector in critical condition.

Commissioner of Police, CP Jimoh Moshood Olohundare, led tactical teams, the Rapid Response Squad, and State CID detectives to quell the unrest and reopen blocked roads.

Meanwhile, Abiodun Ariori, CEO of Prosperous Ariori Golden Venture Limited, was declared wanted over his alleged involvement in the deadly incident. The suspect, of dark complexion, was last seen in Egbeda, Lagos.

Balogun market unrest clarified
In a separate development, the Police dismissed reports of a tribal clash at Balogun Market, clarifying it was a fight among hoodlums where one man, Sodiq Ibrahim, was killed, while his attacker, Ebuka Adindu, was said to have injured himself and has been taken into custody.
CP Jimoh assured Lagosians that the state remains peaceful and urged residents to remain calm and law-abiding.
