Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as MohBad, is seeking the investigation and prosecution of some people reported to have assaulted the late singer before his death.

He particularly singled out those accused of assaulting MohBad during a music show at Elegushi Beach on June 25, 2023.
A letter to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun by Mr. Aloba’s lawyer, Dr. Wahab Shittu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, lamented that those mentioned in the petition then were not interrogated.
He claimed that during the coroner investigation sittings, it was revealed that the deceased also had ongoing disputes with former record label, Marlian Music (Azeez Fashola A.K.A Naira Marley), and Samson Balogun Eletu (A.K.A Sam Larry.
According to him, witnesses testified to the deceased’s growing sense of fear, mistrust, and public isolation.
Based on the findings from the proceedings, Shittu on behalf of MohBad’s father, requested for a comprehensive investigation and prosecution of the suspects.
He added that if a case is established against them, the Inspector General of Police should direct the appropriate authority to institute prosecution accordingly to give full effect to the Coroner’s findings and recommendations.
